Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actor from America. Her most well-known character is Skyler White in the AMC drama Breaking Bad, for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 as well as 2014 in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in the Drama Series. Other roles she has played include Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in love with acting in preparation for her first performance before moving to Ohio. She studied theatre at Northwestern University, and spent one semester at British American Drama Academy. Anna started her acting career working in the Chicago area theatres for a few years. She then moved on to television and film. In 1992, Anna was offered her first big part in the role of Arden in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. Following her appearance as a Guest Actor in a variety of TV Shows and films, such as Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue in the 90's, she was cast as Jean Ward as part of The Practice. Martha Bullock played two full seasons of Deadwood that was shot between 2000 and 2001. Skyler appeared as Martha Bullock in Breaking Bad (2008). Also, she starred in the Deadwood film and Sully. Gunn also starred in David Schwimmer directed the film Sex With Strangers. The year 2022 saw Gunn also played in a 4-part audio-play show named "Numbered Days". The relationship that exists between Walter White and his wife Skyler is usually the main focus of the story in Breaking Bad with the strained connection between them and its eventual demise arguably similar to the arc that was Walter White's final days of life.
